Chem-Chi (91 x Cheese) x Hanalei
13 regular photoperiod seeds per pack
The 91 Cheese or chem-chi was hunted through a pack bred by CSI Humboldt. Plants
had a Chem 91-leaning structure with extremely large skunky nugs. Terps are skunk and
rubber with a touch of kush. Hanalei male added height and some candy funk. The
Chem-Chi x Hanalei had a few cheese phenos that also did very well.
Offerings for Spring 2023
Sourced from Hanalei Bay on the island of Kauai, Hawaii in 2013. This line is a Hawaiian
heirloom with terpenes ranging from sour guava to sweet guava. The Hanalei line was
chosen for breeding due to its unique terpene profile and an unusually strong potency
for a sativa plant. The line breeds very true and has been worked to f3. The male
selected takes flowering times to about 10-12 weeks. He adds a guava back end, purple
color, vigor and increased resistance to pathogens like botrytis and pythium. 2/3 of the
plants have a typical sativa hybrid structure perfect for large outdoor plants and 1/3
have an Indica dominant bushy structure perfect for tents or small backyard cultivation.
The guava terps in Hanalei hybrids act like adding a dash of salt to amplify the flavor
already present in the plants. Flavors like guava cookies, guava gas and sour guava.
