All seeds have been collected by professional pheno hunters directly from feral plants growing naturally under the full sun in native soil with no human input or care. Gathered from remote locations, inaccessible to general public, hidden villages and wild estuaries. Highly hard to get and riddled with great risk our team went to great lengths to return these to USA. Rare and exotic genetics reached by trekking through endless hills and valley for the solo pursue of preservation. Pure, unadulterated and free from human interference.

Location: Lake Chebarkul, Southern Siberian, Bashkortostan Russia 🇷🇺

Type: Super-Autoflower XXL Ruderalis

Soil: Soil was mostly poor and rocky, located south east of the Ural Mountains. The Ural Mountains form the continental boundary between Europe and Asia, Chelyabinsk itself is therefore also known as “The Gateway to Siberia.” These were gathered at 54’ N 60’ L . The leaves were thin and heavily serrated. The Buds were resinous and very oily. It flowers in July at 54 degrees North latitude. This early flowing characteristic has proven to be dominant, and it is an excellent strain for hydration in the hands of a skilled breeder especially for northern outdoor climates, above 52N.  One of the hardest strains to grow well indoors, but one of the hardiest for growing outdoors. Resistant to cold/frost, powdery mildew, and high wind. Caution this is an extremely light feeder, and does not require fertilized soil. Prefers organic soil.

-Noteworthy – will ripen mid to end of August. Crossing this variety with a later flowing variety will predictably cause the resulting hybrid to flower earlier. Allowing one to have three cycles in one year, making F’3 possible to breed within as short a time as 1 year. These are very light feeders and don’t need much nutrients and they prefer drier conditions. Height – 6-8ft.

Seed Characteristics

Siberian Ruderalis genetics are an opportunity to work with feral building blocks of the cannabis genome as a wild cultivar that has been left to it’s own devices in an unforgiving natural steppe habitat dating back to Scythian and Yamnaya culture throughout history, likely adopted from nearby trading or natural escaped adaptations over time. From my experience these can be compared in flowering characteristics to other feral or rudimentary cannabis that appear in Pakistan, India and Afghanistan wild type varieties that have the ability to have day neutral or non-photo dependant flowering expressions.

Distinguishing markers that classify these as feral compared to domesticated stock are that being much smaller, and having camouflaged perianths with irregular marbling mosaics throughout. These traits have let this cultivar develop a defense mechanism that allowed it strive in the most rugged of climates, with most seeds being frozen until the following season, naturally creating a resistance to cold temperatures over many seasons of exposure.Do note that due to these defenses , this cultivar tends to shed it’s seed when fully developed to further is genetic cycle while most domestic varieties will hold it’s seed internally until degradation of the flower itself allows to disperse itself freely.

Germinating Russian Landraces Seeds

Cold Stratification (Recommended)

It is advisable to do a cold treatment on these seeds, by first storing them in the freezer for a couple of days in a sealed container. Just put your seeds in a dry paper towel in a container and leave them in the freezer for couple of days. This will help your seeds get the signal that after they come out of the cold it is time to trigger the start of germination.  Bring the seeds to room temperature and do a peroxide wash/rinse after this you can plant directly into soil. This ensures the seeds germinate as close to how they would naturally insuring success. Plant them in light organic seed mix, do not over water do not fertilize, these are feral genetics and they do not need much they are considered light feeders. Please feel free to do your own research on cold stratification or experiment.
